Lobster

Aquatic sea-insects
gigantic like old money
stalk their prey

garbage men of the sea
legs nice to look at
better as food

rolls, ravioli, turnovers,
sauté, bisque,
some saffron ramekins

go on, clamp down
eat that chewable fuel
terrify the children

or avoid the whole unpleasant thing
unbearable, really
claws scraping side of kettle

screaming like a person
rattling and clanking
fully immersed

instead, have salad
hibernate
