JGNOETRY

jGnoetry is a bigram generator which constrains output by syllabic forms. Enter your own text (as many as you want) and select what percentage of words in the final poem you want to come from each text. Select from existing forms such as couplet, quatrain, blank sonnet, free verse, haiku, renga and tanka, then click “generate” to output a poem. Click on the words you like, then re-generate to continue shuffling words.

Over at Wave Books, you will find a number of source texts. Choose one by clicking on the title. You will be sent to a new page where you can click on any word or punctuation mark to make it disappear. Clicking where it was will make it return. By removing much of the text a newly sculpted text (poem) appears.

When you are done creating your poem, you can save it to their archive, print it or email it

Bonsai Story Generator

BONSAI STORY GENERATOR

The Bonsai Story Tree Generator takes coherent text and turns it into QIGO (Quality In, Garbage Out). Only, the garbage often makes a sort of strange, surreal sense. To generate Bonsai Story Tree sentences, copy & paste the text of several (short) manuscripts over at their site. Three or four passages of 1000 words each are recommended for best effect.
