The editors are proud to announce that The Found Poetry Review is officially open for business. We hope you will review our submissions guidelines and consider submitting your poetry and photography.
Everyone has those flight-of-fancy ideas for projects that seem like a good idea at the time, but never come to fruition. The Found Poetry Review was one of those ideas — something we’d talk about, but never act on. After all, there are a million “online poetry journals” out there, many of them built in an hour on out-of-the-box blogging platforms and featuring questionably curated content. How would we stand out in this sea of publications? Could we attract enough quality submissions to publish a journal of which we could be proud?
We admit – we don’t have the answers to those questions. Yet, we kept coming back to the idea of starting the journal and, over the last few months, finally put the wheels into motion. We look forward to seeing what comes out of this experiment as we move towards our first submissions deadline on June 30, 2011.
In the interim, we’ll be posting semi-regular updates on this blog with resources and news related to found poetry, as well as the best examples of found poetry and centos curated from the web.
We invite your ideas and questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
