Poetry Prompt: Words of the Year

This post is part of a series of weekly found poetry prompts. If you have an idea for a found poetry source, email Senior Poetry Editor Beth Ayer.

This week Oxford Dictionaries named “vape” the word of the year for 2014, along with a shortlist of runners up. Oxford has been naming  words of the year for both the UK and the US since 2004.

Prompt: use these words to write a poem. If this open-ended prompt is stressful, then you could *vape, take a selfie, hug your bae, and then try again.

*FPR does not necessarily encourage taking selfies with your bae.
