No, not that great pumpkin.
We’re talking the great pumpkin you know will ALWAYS come, infiltrating your unassuming pantry with loads of autumn flavor. It’s time for pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin Pop-Tarts, pumpkin cream cheese, pumpkin bread, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin beer, pumpkin yogurt, pumpkin marshmallows and more.
With pumpkin already infiltrating your favorite products, why don’t you let it infiltrate your poems, too? This week, write a pumpkin-infused found poem. Here are some ideas:
- Grab product descriptions from pumpkin-flavored products and advertisements, and weave them into a poem.
- Do a find and replace with a text, replacing select nouns and/or adjectives with “pumpkin.”
- Look up pumpkin recipes from a cookbook and craft a poem from the ingredients and instructions.
Post your poem — or a link to your poem on your blog or website — in the comments section below.
