Found Poetry Prompt: Poetry and Politics

Signing_of_Declaration_of_Independence_by_Armand-Dumaresq,_c1873

Richard Nixon once said “The language of politics is poetry, not prose.” And maybe the 4th of July is a day for poetry, not hot dogs? (Ok, maybe poetry and hot dogs). This weekend, in the spirt of the Jefferson Bible, create a found poem from the Declaration of Independence (see full text from the Library of Congress). As always, please share your resulting poem in the comments or submit to one of our upcoming issues.
