This post is part of a series of weekend found poetry prompts. If you have an idea for a found poetry source, email Senior Poetry Editor Beth Ayer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dreams can provide a weird, potent and vivid look at our psyches. Some are rich with imagery and create stories or moods that haunt us throughout the day. Too bad we can’t transcribe them and scan the text for poetry source material.
Science isn’t there yet. Surely Google has plans for something. But for now, we have publicly available dream journals. People are publishing their strange unconscious experiences for your perusal, here and here and all over the internet. This weekend, write a found poem from dream journals (maybe even your own dream journal!) or dream-related materials.
